The lower disk is threaded so that when the screws on top are tightened, the disks come together and expand the rubber out against the inside wall of the casing.
This locks the seal like a plug inside any standard 2″ ID well casing.

This casing clamp is designed for temporary rapid-deployment installations in any “open-well.”
It simply hangs over the edge of any open casing and cinches in place with a few twists of the locking tee handle.
The uppermost part consists of a nylon gripper that will secure the EarthStraw for pumping.
The heavy-duty clamping devise is constructed from welded steel and molded nylon with rubber grippers.
If you are using this system it is a good idea to also purchase an EarthStraw Pump Cover to protect the system and keep debris from falling into the well.
